In an effort to streamline communication, we will be discontinuing daily phone calls regarding exposures at school sites. This information will be posted Monday-Friday by 6:00 PM.
For students who become symptomatic or test positive for COVID, please make sure they isolate immediately and notify us right away. The quarantine and isolation requirements remain the same: stay home for 10 days, with a possibility to return sooner if fever-free, symptom-free, and a negative test result. Questions can be directed to Jennifer Olivera at Jbaltazar@dusd.k12.ca.us or 209-632-7514 x 1202.
For exposed students that have no symptoms, they may continue participating in regular school activities. Testing is recommended 3-5 days after exposure. Denair Unified School District is following the California Department of Public Health’s guidance for testing, quarantining/isolation and group contact tracing. Please refer to the Stanislaus County Office of Education Decision Trees attached below for details and connect with your school office staff regarding your return to school.

The District provides free on-site antigen testing for student and staff members through a CDPH funded testing program. Also provided are at-home COVID test kits for students and staff members, subject to availability of supplies, as follows:
- Students – Test kits may be picked up at the school or district office. For long break periods, test kits may be distributed by the school and/or district to all families prior to the start of the break period.
- Staff – Test kits may be obtained from the district office and work site.
