New Covid-19 Guidance effective February 14, 2022

New Covid-19 Guidance effective February 14, 2022
title

In an effort to streamline communication, we will be discontinuing daily phone calls regarding exposures at school sites.

This information will be posted daily, Monday-Friday by 6:00 PM to the website as a list of known exposures (locations, dates).

As long as exposed students have no symptoms, they may continue participating in regular school activities. Testing is recommended 3-5 days after exposure. Parents can request testing by emailing Athziri Hermosillo Cardenas at ahermosillo@dusd.k12.ca.us. Students can be tested at their school site, during the school day, as long as they are symptom-free and there is a consent on file.

For students who become symptomatic or test positive for COVID, please make sure they isolate immediately and notify us right away. The quarantine and isolation requirements remain the same: stay home for 10 days, with a possibility to return sooner if fever-free, symptom-free, and a negative test result. Please note that these timelines are different when there is someone at home who is positive.

Questions can be directed to Jennifer Olivera at jolivera@dusd.k12.ca.us or 209-632-7514 x 1202.
